Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Spacenos Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us") and govern your use of HeyCaveman, including the website, the studio, and any related services (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

HeyCaveman turns a script you provide into a narrated, animated explainer video. An AI "director" plans and stages scenes, text-to-speech generates narration, and the result can be rendered and downloaded as an MP4. Features, limits and quotas depend on your plan and may change over time.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is not directed at children.

You sign in with your email address using a one-time 6-digit code or a magic link. There are no passwords. Keep access to your email account secure: anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your email address up to date. Tell us promptly at support@heycaveman.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We offer a Free plan and paid subscription plans. Prices, quotas and features are shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions and payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited; we never see or store your full card number, UPI or bank credentials. Prices may be shown in INR or USD, and applicable taxes (such as GST) may be added.

• Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan & billing. You keep paid access until the end of the current period, and you will not be charged again.
• Price changes. We will give you notice before a price change takes effect on your next renewal.
• Taxes. Prices may exclude taxes, which are added where required.

Refunds. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@heycaveman.com within 14 days of the charge and we will review it.

You own your content. The scripts, text, images and other material you submit ("Input") and the videos and other output generated for you ("Output") belong to you, to the extent permitted by law and subject to the rights of third parties described below.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your Input and Output only as needed to provide, secure and improve the Service for you — for example, sending your script to our AI providers, generating narration, and rendering your video. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons or that remain briefly in backups.

You confirm you have all rights needed to submit your Input and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Backgrounds, photos, video clips and icons may be sourced from third-party libraries such as Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, Pixabay and Iconify. These are provided under their own licences (for example Creative Commons). You are responsible for complying with those licences when you publish your video, including giving attribution where required.

The Service uses third-party AI models (such as Anthropic's Claude for directing, image models for illustrated scenes, and text-to-speech for narration). AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or similar to output generated for others.

You are responsible for reviewing Output — including facts, claims, pronunciation and imagery — before you publish or rely on it. Output is not professional (medical, legal, financial or other) advice.

You may add your own API keys for Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini. We store them encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and use them only for your own requests. The provider bills you directly for that usage and its own terms and policies apply. You are responsible for your keys, their spending limits and their revocation; remove a key at any time in Settings.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• create or share content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
• infringe intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights, or upload material you do not have the right to use;
• impersonate any person or organisation, or create deceptive content (such as deepfakes or fake endorsements) intended to mislead;
• send spam or create content for scams, fraud or malware distribution;
• reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service, or circumvent quotas, rate limits or security measures;
• abuse the Free plan, for example by creating multiple accounts to get around its limits;
• resell or provide the Service to others as a standalone product without our written permission.

You must also comply with the usage policies of the AI providers we use.

Projects are kept for a limited time after they are created and then deleted automatically. The current periods are 15 days on the Free plan and 45 days on Pro; we may change them, and the period that applies to each project is shown in your dashboard. We email you about 3 days before a project is deleted (you can turn these emails off).

Generated media — narration audio, rendered MP4s and AI drawings — is kept on our servers for up to about 46 days and then deleted. Download your MP4s; the Service is not a backup or archive and we are not liable for content deleted under this policy.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove content, if you breach these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if required by law. Where reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will survive.

We may add, change or remove features, or stop offering the Service. If we discontinue a paid service, we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

To the extent permitted by law, Spacenos Technologies Private Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or views, arising from or related to the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) USD 50. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your Input, your Output as you publish it, or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved by the courts of India. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of, and may bring proceedings in, your country of residence.

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
